How to address quality issues in die-cutting processes?

2025 10/20

The widespread application of die-cut products has attracted many new entrants to the die-cutting production process. While beginners may have some understanding of die-cutting, very few can effectively address the quality issues that arise during production. This directly impacts product quality. Therefore, how to resolve die-cutting quality problems? Previously, we introduced solutions to common die-cutting production challenges.

How to Address Quality Issues in Die-Cutting Production and Processing

1. Select excellent printing plate-making methods to improve the precision of die-cutting plates:

Ensure that die-cutting, embossing, and packaging printing are conducted under the same natural working conditions or maintain identical working conditions. For finishing processes like varnishing and laminating, perform die-cutting preparatory treatments to minimize the impact of paper deformation on die-cutting accuracy.

II. Pre-production Preparation for the Die-Cutting Machine

Compare the manuscript with the gold-stamped version to verify compliance with product quality standards. Inspect the operational status of industrial equipment, ensuring on-site adjustments are functioning properly. Check the flexibility and reliability of components such as switches and brakes in the industrial equipment. Prepare raw and auxiliary materials, seal frequently used die-cut customs with insulated ice bags. For large-volume and regular production items, use offset paper. For high-volume and complex orders, expose screen-printing film for plate mounting.

3. The indentation lines are misaligned and not smooth

Under the working pressure of die-cutting, the indentation steel wire may distort, causing misalignment of the impression line. The working pressure of die-cutting can also lead to unsatisfactory impression lines. To address these issues, measures such as replacing the die-cutting plate or increasing the working pressure can be taken.

In the die-cutting production factory, quality issues must be addressed through shared problem-solving. Additionally, professional technicians should be assigned to handle the actual operations to prevent unnecessary problems and safety incidents.
